Job Description and Qualifications
The Data Analyst position is a key member of the Dairy Operations organization.  This role will work closely with the Marketing Managers, Director of Marketing Operations, Business Intelligence team and the Digital Marketing team.  This role will support and enable the move to a data driven organization with a goal of solving complex problems with the use of data.  This role will participate in the analysis over a wide range of marketing and sales data.

Accountabilities
Mine through different data sources to identify business trends and turn insights into actionable recommendations.

Perform statistical analysis to support business needs. Gathers required data and performs data analysis to support business need. Anticipates clients’ future and ongoing needs.

Determine best method to gather, model, manipulate and present data. Gather business requirements and translates business questions into requirements

Partner with business users to validate business requirements/requests for analysis and present intermediate and final analytical results.

Document analytical methodologies used in the execution of analytical request projects. Translate scientific methodology to business terms, providing guidance and assistance to others in translation.

Conduct ongoing analysis of programs executed post promotion and advise business leaders on recommendations based on business and marketing analytics.

Identify opportunities to deliver business growth through fact based recommendations.

Partner with the IT organization in development of our Big Data environment.

Experience-Education (Required):
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics or related field.

7-10 years’ experience in an analytical position that required gathering information from multiple sources to support the data based decision making process

Competencies-Skills (Required):
Strong Analytical skills
SQL
Statistical programming knowledge
Data visualization

Experience-Education (Preferred):

5+ years’ experience in an analytical position that required gathering information from multiple sources to support the data based decision making process

Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics or related field.

Experience in a CPG or retail organization

Experience working with big data technologies and solutions

Competencies-Skills (Preferred):
Retail category management

Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and communicate across multiple levels of business.
