Position Summary

Responsible for data support, analytics and strategy of both existing and proposed Life Time Athletic club sites and markets.  This may also include some co-located residential (Life Time Living) and shared workspace (Life Time Work) site and market support.  Includes travel to evaluate markets and sites, and completion of revenue forecasts and cannibalization using proven analytical tools and processes.  Requires ability to partner effectively across the enterprise and clearly articulate results of analysis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acquires and maintains deep market knowledge of all existing and prospective Life Time sites and markets within assigned regional geography
  • Works collaboratively with regional Real Estate team to develop and regularly update deployment/market strategies within the assigned region
  • Attends regular regional real estate pipeline and site development meetings
  • Serves as back-up analytic support to other team market analysts to complete site studies in other regions as needed
  • Runs predictive analytic models to produce membership unit, revenue and other metric projections for proposed Life Time clubs and acquisition targets
  • Conducts download meetings to share market insights and review revenue projection assumptions with key partners across the enterprise
  • Commands a knowledge of analog Life Time clubs and MSAT studies/data points for credible site projections
  • Authors site assessment documents (SAP) and supports down-stream data needs for approved sites within assigned region, including the business planning and club opening process
  • Completes requested data support and ad hoc studies as needed
  • Serves as thought partner to the MSAT Data & Analytics team for methodology/research needs and analytic tool development
  • Keeps Competitive Intelligence team apprised of key competitor openings/closures observed via fieldwork to maintain competitive data accuracy in assigned region
  • Responsible for staying up-to-date on key Life Time club and competitor trends nationwide
  • 25% travel required, including site assessment trips, market/trade area knowledge maintenance trips, and periodic travel with the Real Estate team to study markets/sites

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in geography, urban planning, business or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in market research in retail or other related field
  • Ability to effectively partner with other key players across the enterprise
  • Ability to effectively deliver both oral and written presentations of work
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend solutions
  • Experience in MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) ​

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with BI applications (Alteryx, Power B.I., Tableau, etc)
