Unique project-based undergraduate program in computer science
The undergraduate computer science program at Minnesota State University, Mankato is unique in North America – it is entirely project-based! The new program, now in its first year, is modeled on the ABET-accredited and highly awarded project-based engineering programs pioneered by the University’s Department of Integrated Engineering.
This tenure track position supports the new project-based computer science program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching core and elective upper division topics using project-based and active learning pedagogies and supporting upper-division project work; teaching lower division core courses; advising computer science major students; engaging in research/scholarly activities, including seeking funding for curricular support and/or research activities individually or collaboratively; supporting student growth and educational (project-based) experiences; continuing professional preparation; participating in the work of the program/department and service to the University and community.
