We are proud to announce the MinneMUDAC Student Data Challenge will return in Fall 2026! The main event is set for October 17, 2026 at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. This year MinneAnalytics is partnering with The Food Group to take on food insecurity.
MinneMUDAC is an experiential learning opportunity inviting student teams to explore data to garner insights that help solve real-world problems. Student teams, with the guidance of their advisors, have several weeks to analyze the data before presenting their results to teams of judges made up of data professionals from the community.
This year’s client is The Food Group, a local food equity nonprofit. For nearly 50 years they have worked to provide food for today and change for tomorrow for neighbors who need it most in our community. They work at the intersection of food access, equity, and nutrition, statewide. The Food Group tracked 9 million visits to food shelves by food-insecure Minnesotans in 2025, an all-time high.
Last year, more than 65 student teams tackled mentorship challenges for Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. We can’t wait to see what this year’s students can do! Stay tuned for more information and registration. Sign up for updates here.
