MinneAnalytics is proud to announce Bethel University undergrad students Brady Bomsta and Trey Anderson as recipients of 2018 MinneAnalytics Scholarships. Both are seniors planning to graduate in May 2019.
Brady is majoring in mathematics education and is excited to show his future students the beauty of data science in the classroom: “I would like to start a data science club or try to incorporate data science into an elective at the high school level. I did not know about this field until my junior year of college, so I would like to have students be exposed to data science at a young age.”
Trey is a double major in finance and communication arts & literature education. He participated in MUDAC 2018 at Winona State University and is looking to leverage his knowledge and skills in data science in a role in finance or healthcare in the future: “I am interested in data science because I am beginning to understand its tremendous power application in not only the business world but every aspect of the world around us. The insights that we gain from data science allow us to improve outcomes in many different areas.”
MinneAnalytics Scholarships are awarded to students who display a passion for pursuing a career in analytics and a commitment to engaging with the community. This year, the organization is awarding 20 scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to students from schools across the Midwest.
Congratulations Brady and Trey!
