Announcing the first recipient of the MinneAnalytics Scholarship

We are pleased to announce Mary Nelson as the first recipient of the MinneAnalytics Scholarship. Mary attends University of Minnesota Duluth where she is pursuing a bachelor of science in statistics and actuarial science with a minor in marketing analytics. She also interns at Maurices as a digital marketing associate, getting hands on experience as an analyst.

The MinneAnalytics Scholarship is a way for our organization to invest back in the community and support the next generation of Minnesota analytics professionals. The $5,000 scholarship is funded by MinneAnalytics and distributed through the Minnesota High Tech Association Foundation STEM Scholarship Program.

In a recent interview with TECHdotMN, MinneAnalytics co-founder Dan Atkins discussed the future of the organization’s investment in education:

“Hopefully we can get into a position to do more meaningful work. We want to elevate analytics to a terminal degree in Minnesota and that starts at the high school level.”

Thank you to all of our members. Your participation in the community makes these investments possible.
